Amber Group’s new CO was named one of the World’s Top 300 IP Strategists and one of the World’s 50 Most Influential People in IP in 2020 by Intellectual Asset Management and Managing Intellectual Property respectively.
Amber Group has appointed Benjamin Bai as its Chief Legal Officer at a critical time amid an ever-evolving digital asset landscape, where the impetus for regulation is growing in importance.
The digital asset platform has snatched its new CLO from Ant Group, where he served as its Vice President and Chief Intellectual Property (IP) and International Litigation Counsel.
Benjamin Bai will be tasked to spearhead the development of robust risk management frameworks and approaches as Amber Group enters different markets with diverse regulatory environments, strengthens its commitment to regulatory compliance and engages with policymakers and regulators globally.
Amber Group’s new CO was named one of the World’s Top 300 IP Strategists and one of the World’s 50 Most Influential People in IP in 2020 by Intellectual Asset Management and Managing Intellectual Property respectively. He was also awarded other prestigious accolades including China Law and Practice’s IP Lawyer of the Year in 2015.
Prior to Ant Group, he was a partner at law firms Jones Day and Allen & Overy in the United States and China, where he focused on high-stake IP litigation and licensing.
